| the importance of this relationship and decided to do something about it. The idea of a conference for girls and their moms began to form. It was a great idea…we both love great ideas and have them often. (The reasonableness of the “idea” is often questioned however.) We decided to go to our parents. We were sure that they would be the voice of sanity, reminding us that we were just out of high school, knew nothing about running a conference, and quickly put an end to this madness. To our shock and awe, both families thought it was a fabulous
idea and encouraged us to act. We didn’t know how long, how far,
when, where, why or how; but we knew it was what the Lord wanted us
to do. God has proven His faithfulness again and again in incredible
ways. He has brought just the right people at just the right time, checks
in the mail for the exact amount just hours before we needed it, and
churches willing and able to open their facility. Because of the full
support and enthusiasm of our families and closest friends, God’s amazing mercy, and
daily miracles—Beneath the Surface became a reality. Do you go to the same church? Yes. Household of Faith Community Church. www.hofcc.org How many kids are in your families?
