Elizabeth Knopp [speaker and co-founder]
Elizabeth calls Portland, Oregon home, although you will most often find her in the airport on her way to someplace --whether it be for a speaking engagement or mission work. Elizabeth has traveled throughout the USA and Asia speaking and challenging young people with her fun stories and life changing messages. When she is in Oregon, she teaches 39 violin students, enjoys her baby nephew, gigs around the city, serves at her local church on worship team, and councils young women. Her goal is to live all of life in light of eternity.
Favorite things: Worship, the ocean, vanilla lattes, bonfires, getting a facial, laughing until it hurts, traveling, sunsets, first impressions and changing lives.

Jocelyn
Edlin [speaker and co-founder]
Jocelyn lives in Portland, Oregon with her [rather new] husband Rowan. Her life motto is "Live fearlessly. Laugh often. There's plenty of time to be dead." She has traveled the USA and abroad as a speaker, photographer and photography teacher. Jocelyn runs a photography studio and studio design program, with her husband she helps run their media school IPS. IPS workshops are held across the world. Jocelyn plays guitar and is passionate about opening society’s eyes to the poverty of the world and to teach and encouraging her generation to use media to speak truth.

David Knopp [Speaker and Conference Coordinator]
Over the years, David has held various leadership and counseling positions for youth programs and events, including coaching speech and debate students, teaching Life Purpose and worldview classes and occasionally filling the preaching ministry at his local church. This conference is David's sixth Beneath the Surface event as a both a speaker and event coordinator. He is currently teaching his fourth Woldview Class and is an undergraduate student double majoring in Biblical Studies and New Testament Greek.
Favorite things: Teaching, leading worship, blogging, eating cookies, drinking hot beverages and having very long discussions about things that matter.

Leslie Reavely [worship leader]
Leslie has been playing music at her church, various camps and retreats for years. She's currently a sophomore in college, pursuing a business degree, which she hopes to use in ministry. One of her most life-changing experiences was starting a non-profit organization, Hope2Others, for homeless people with her sister in 2006. When she's not doing school, Leslie is either spending time with friends, reading a good book, cooking, teaching piano lessons, or working on Hope2Others. Her goal is to live every moment of her fleeting life for Jesus, while she travels toward Home.
Favorite Things: Falling asleep to the sound of rain, crackling fires, deep talks, everything chocolate, scarves, my Snuggie, a good laugh.

Sarah Harris [Skits and Drama]
Sarah is the introverted bookish type who is occasionally cajoled into writing a biography by the more effervescent and gregarious members of humanity. She has worked as a conference coordinator, personal assistant, and research assistant for The Rebelution, as well as a vocalist, consultant, and stylist. When at home she usually spends her time reading copious numbers of books primarily pertaining to history, sociology, philosophy, and psychology. But, when not reading, she enjoys expanding her repertoire of assorted accomplishments. Her goal is to live a life that matters.

Laura Clawson [Videographer and photographer]
As a Minneapolis-based portrait photographer and filmmaker, Laura Clawson spends the majority of her year behind a camera. Traveling the US while producing multimedia projects which mesh photography, art, video and journalism (sparks fly), she hopes to communicate the beautiful Gospel of a beautiful God. When she is not on a shoot or storyboarding, you can find her reading poetry at a cafe, cleaning houses with her family’s business, or writing letters from her desk at home, where she picks up her mail, in Princeton, MN.
Favorite things: Children, history books, naming things, morning light, strong coffee, names, constellations, lavender oil, Gregorian chant, eyes.
